Our founder and CEO, Rae Stonehouse has worked in the healthcare field for over thirty years as a professional nurse. During those years Rae has developed an insatiable quest for knowledge and is passionate about sharing that knowledge with friends, colleagues & clients.

While planning and organizing meetings doesn't traditionally fall under the job description of a nurse, it was within the Toastmasters International organization where he developed his skills and passion in organizing events. While serving in increasingly challenging leadership roles, progressing from a club officer, to Area Governor, Division Governor, Lieutenant Governor of Education & Training, to the top position of District 21 Toastmasters District Governor (07-08) he has organized and chaired hundreds of meetings of various sizes.

Rae has adapted and embodies a mantra popularized by the likes of Brian Tracy & Anthony Robbins, that of CANEI (Continuous and Never Ending Improvement). He has incorporated that philosophy into his every day living and is quite willing to bring others along with him.Through his Toastmasters leadership journey Rae has taken a lead role in the development and delivery of six district conferences with 200 to 400 in attendance.

Continuing one's personal and professional education as a healthcare provider is not only required, it is vital to the success of our healthcare delivery system. Professional quality educational opportunities within the Okanagan Valley have traditionally been scarce. This has neccessitated journeys to Vancouver or Calgary or beyond  to attend educational sessions. The costs of doing so can be quite high i.e. transportation, accomodation, meals, registation & lost wages. This is often out of pocket as many employers do not reimburse their staff for self improvement.
